New York City's
Single Parent
Families
Need Your Help

Dear Friend,

Summer can be a particularly challenging time for a single parent. Homeless parents hope to find shelter and food for their families. Parents who have been separated from their children hope to be reunited.  Working mothers hope that their children will be safe during their break from school.

The Single Parent Resource Center is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1975, that is devoted solely to providing programs for New York City’s single parents and their families. During the summer, we are particularly committed to helping our clients cope with the many challenges that they face, including homelessness, poverty, and the struggle to reunite with their children after incarceration or separation due to substance abuse.

That’s why we are asking for your help.  While each year a few of our supporters underwrite the cost

of an entire program, we are asking you to send whatever amount you can, so that we will be able to

offer support and joy to our families during this time of year, and throughout the year. We thank you

for your continued generosity.

With genuine gratitude,

Deane Allen Gilliam, President, SPRC Board of Directors

Rosemarie Dackerman, Interim Executive Director
