     SINGLE PARENTS IN RECOVERY

Weekly relapse prevention workshops for single mothers and fathers in recovery from drug or alcohol addiction. Daytime as well as evening groups are available to accommodate work schedules. SPIR enables participants to maintain sobriety while handling the stress of working and being a single parent. Dual focus on relapse prevention and parenting.

     KIDS CLUB

SPRC staff teams conduct alcohol and drug prevention groups for children range in age from 6-12 in homeless shelters. Art and writing projects, meditation, music and dance activities are conducted by trained youth staff who teach children how to work in groups, express feelings and handle the problems of transient living.

    YOUTH LEADERSHIP

For youth, ages 13-17, who are children of parents with histories of drug and alcohol abuse, incarceration and homelessness, this afterschool program teaches Positive Living Skills and assists members in staying in school and achieving educational goals.
